Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how [Your Business Legal Name] ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Information we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and delivery address, along with a record of what you ordered, when, and its payment status. We do not collect or store your card details. Those are captured directly by PayFast, our payment processor.
Why we collect it
We use your information only to process and deliver your order, communicate with you about it, respond to queries, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you separately opt in.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with PayFast (to process your payment) and our delivery courier (typically your name, phone number and delivery address, to deliver your order). We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.
How we protect it
Order information is stored in a secured, password-protected database, with admin access restricted and logged. While we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically five years), after which they're deleted or anonymised.
Cookies and local storage
Our shopping cart uses your browser's local storage to remember what's in it. This stays on your device and isn't shared with us until you check out. We don't currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, ask us to delete it (subject to our legal obligation to keep order/tax records), and object to how we process it. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer below.
